Locations: Fremont, CA, and Virtually
Cindy is a second-generation Taiwanese American psychotherapist who was raised in Southern California, occasionally spends time in Taiwan, and now resides in Northern California. She received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling from California State University, East Bay, and has two years of clinical experience working with children, parents, couples, and families across various settings, including the school system, community mental health agencies, and permanent supportive housing.
Cindy believes in honoring all parts of ourselves—whether shaped by trauma, grief, or loss—to be more fully present. Cindy supports clients in moving beyond simply identifying and understanding emotions; she helps them create meaningful narratives that align with their values and reflect their inner truth. Her work is deeply client-centered and draws on an integrative therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Treatment may include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused therapies.
In sessions, Cindy offers a warm, calm, and non-judgmental space where clients are empowered to set the pace of their healing journey. With gentle support, she facilitates deeper emotional processing and inner work, meeting each person exactly where they are.
*Available in person in Fremont, CA and virtually throughout California.
SPECIALIZATIONS
Children
Cindy uses play therapy and sand tray therapy to create a space for children that feels safe, imaginative, and developmentally attuned. Cindy places special emphasis on the parent-child relationship—supporting parents in becoming more attuned to their children’s emotional needs through modeling, co-regulation, attachment-based approaches, and creating a sense of safety.
Young Adults (18+)
Cindy supports young adults through major life transitions, helping them navigate early career choices, build meaningful and healthy relationships, and explore their evolving identities. She uses a strengths-based approach to reinforce positive self-esteem and resilience during one of life’s most formative stages.
Bicultural Identities
With bi-cultural populations, Cindy works from a relational perspective, recognizing the influence of the people in our lives and how those relationships shape our behaviors. She has a particular interest in the complexities of intergenerational relationships and navigating family dynamics, such as divorce, immigration, and separation. She also supports clients who may be neurodiverse in these contexts.
