Tracy T. Ng, AMFT

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Tracy is a second-generation Chinese American who was raised in diverse immigrant communities throughout California. She nurtures a multicultural perspective in navigating systems, cultivating a voice and adapting to change. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has supported clients since 2023, both in intensive programs and individually. In addition, they have experience serving as a digital crisis counselor for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, coaching chronically ill children in the creative arts and working as a camp counselor for disadvantaged tweens and teens, engaging in therapeutic and socially driven outdoor recreation. She is working toward licensure to address clients’ struggles and pressures in being their authentic selves, incorporating their values, and consistently finding joy.

Transitioning from a decade-long career in technology companies provided lessons in balancing competing goals, reflective listening, and connecting with people from around the country and world. Their shift toward psychotherapy integrates life experiences and an inherent capacity in listening to the best and worst days with gentle kindness. Her approach to psychotherapy is grounded in the principle of providing clients with a space to simply be themselves. Existing is tiring, and they aim to ease the burden during sessions by fostering safety and allowing the client to connect with their mind, body, and experiences without judgment, exploring possibilities. Taking a primarily humanistic lens, she incorporates a variety of therapy modalities to assist in examining and healing maladaptive patterns, ranging from cognitive skills (thinking) to somatic (body sensations) and creative expression (play/creativity).

They’ve worked with individuals through trauma experienced throughout the lifespan, explored the sense of self to emerge with more confidence, and supported recovery from substance misuse.
